Dry Season Fishing at Dundee Beach (May - September)


With clear blue skies, south easterly breezes and spectacular sunsets, the ‘Dry Season’ (from May to September) is great for tidal river and sport fishing in the waters off Dundee Beach. Look out for swooping birds attracted to bait schools. Sailfish, queenfish, long tail tuna, cobia and giant and golden trevally hunt these schools of bait.


Reefs harbour popular species like black jewfish, golden and tricky snapper, red emperor and coral trout. Remember, it’s good practise to catch and release for the enjoyment of all and to allow fish stocks to rejuvenate.
